E-learning program for kids at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens

In cooperation with the University of Athens, the Cycladic Art Museum is organizing an innovative e-learning program titled “Museum and Child”, an initiative extending innovation in the field of education.

The two-month program comprises of eight sections focusing on the multi-faceted instructional process achieved in and through the museum, examining practical applications form a critical point. Each section focuses on a different practice, providing directions and examples of good and bad applications from cultural institutions in Greece and abroad.

Constant educational support is provided throughout the program, whose sections include videotaped lectures, original texts and proposed bibliography.

Dimitrios Plantzos, Associate Professor of Classical Archeology of the University of Athens, acts as the program’s Head Academic Officer. The Museum of Cycladic Art, in cooperation with the E-Learning of the Center for Lifelong Learning of the University of Athens, is in charge of the program’s design and implementation.
