Recognized by the European Union, Docroads is a special worldwide compact course, combining higher education, training and immediate results, in association with a European University. A project-driven, creative documentary workshop and training initiative specially designed for audiovisual emerging professionals, it is organized once a year in Europe, and once in Asia.
It is made up of two phases, 5 days each, (10 days in total) of residential seminars and a workshop, emphasizing, among others, storytelling, project presentation and networking. Both phases are headed, coordinated and constantly supervised by our tutors, who provide feedback, advice and suggestions. Each group has to complete a film on a given subject, within three shooting days. The films will be edited and completely post produced on location.
From September 18-27, Docroads will take place on the Greek island of Tinos. Seminars will be held, among other locations, in Tinos Beach. Under the summer sun, the goal is for participants and tutors to overcome their barriers and comfort zones, and to challenge each other into growing together in a creative team. Numerous supportive activities (discovery tours, art events and networking dinners), connected to the island’s rich cultural life, are also scheduled to promote team spirit and to provide networking opportunities.
Docroads is open to emerging audiovisual professionals, journalists, students, and all artists of all kind who share our passion for well told stories for the world. There is no age limit on submissions, and all nationalities are eligible and you can apply at the program’s website.
For information on cost, travel, etc., please visit www.docroads.com, or the program’s social media pages, on Facebook or LinkedIn.
Each participant will receive a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE, providing 4 ECTS, issued by the University of the Aegean.
