LARISSA – Hundreds of spectators attended the ceremonial start of the 2017 Historic Rally of Greece on Friday, which took place on October 13-15 at the Ancient Theater in Larissa, where they will have the opportunity to watch six different races.
Twenty-seven crews that compete for the FIA Historic Regularity Rallies Championship were at the Ceremonial Start ramp, followed by the 28 Greek crews that will take part in the Greek Championship and the Northern Greek Cup.
The first leg of the rally, covering a distance of 49 km, will finish at Ambelakia where the partial unofficial results of Leg 1 and the start times for Leg 2 will be published.
Larissa mayor Apostolos Kaloyiannis wished all crews “a good, successful and safe race” and expressed hope that Larissa and Thessaly will welcome the event.
Both the Greek and the international regularity race are held by the Greek Motorsport Federation (OMAE), in cooperation with the Periphery of Thessaly.
