International street photography festival in Athens on November 10-12

Professional and amateur photographers “capture” instances on big illuminated boulevards or small dark streets, with everyday people, in spontaneous snapshots.

These photographs will be depicted in the first street photography festival to be held in the heart of Athens, at Booze Cooperativa, from November 10 to November 12.

“This is the first and only free-entrance street photography meeting in Greece to be held in Athens. It is a street photography festival, whether it is pure street photography or modern and new trends coming from abroad. It is a co-organization of iFocus (BULB), a Balkan collectiva, and street hunters, a website for photographers abroad,” noted Dora Lavazou from iFocus.

“We are holding this festival – free of charge for Greeks and especially for Athenians – which will contain workshops with renowned Greek and foreign speakers. In addition to the photography exhibition, workshops with distinguished Greek and foreign artists will also be held, as well as a rich programme covering activities and exhibitions, which resulted from an international competition that took place from May to June 2017,” Lavazou added.

“In particular, we have prepared seminars, such as Walk and Talk, in which 15 rapporteurs and a group of participants will get out on the street with a specific theme  to learn directly how to snap ‘whatever circumstances’ street photos,” she concluded.
