Top army orchestras, dozens of “uniforms” musicians, soloists, dancers, choruses, flag-men from various countries of the world are preparing to arrive in Greece to offer a unique spectacle of high standards during the Athens Military Music Festival.
Athens will host for the first time more than 300 unique artists in a two-day festive celebration.
Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Italy and Greece will all perform on 18 and 19 May in Zappeion.
The Greek tone at the Athens Military Music Festival will be given by the internationally renowned pianist and composer Stefanos Korkolis. In a special appearance, he will guide us to his musical universe, giving us a special program with an extremely uplifting mood. With him the excellent performer Sofia Manousaki.
In front of the iconic Zappeion Palace, in the heart of Athens, a “music parade”, an unprecedented festival combining military, classical, traditional, pop and rock music with impressive parades, special choreographies, spectacular lighting and thousands of fireworks.
This year’s first event in Greece includes the Kazakh President’s Official Bans, Armenia’s Yerevan Drums, The Cossack Choir of Moscow as well as Russia’s National Guard Band.
The only ones of their kind and highly impressive flag-men from Cori, Italy, will amaze the public with their spectacular parade and the unprecedented flag dance. One of the most recognized in our country as well as international children choirs, the ROSARTE, will enchant the spectators of the festival.
