The Athens and Epidaurus Festival is currently planning its first-ever collaboration with the Com?die Fran?aise in the summer of 2019, the festival organisers announced on Wednesday, ANA reports.
To this end, they have invited Belgian director Ivo van Hove to put on the ancient Greek tragedies “Electra” and “Orestes” by Euripides, using actors from the French theatre company, in a single performance to be held at the Ancient Epidaurus Theatre in July 2019.
