Following a successful summer edition, Release Athens 2018, returns with its Autumn Edition, featuring The Chemical Brothers, one of the biggest names of the electronic dance scene of the last 30 years. The legendary band will play one show in Athens on Saturday, September 8, at the Olympic Fencing Center.
Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, the two gifted musicians / producers / DJs who make up the duet from Manchester, are promising a dazzling laser show, psychedelic visuals, strobe lights and furious electronic beats.
The duet that made Manchester leave the flower power revival and brit pop explosion and associate itself with the big beat’s explosive buzz on the dancefloor and electro dance mastery returns with a special show that will turn the closed center fencing in a huge club.
With millions of sales and many awards (Grammy, Brit, MTV), eight albums, a soundtrack, a live album and three best-of collections, since their 1995 debut album “Exit Planet Dust”, to their last album “Born in the Echoes” (2015), The Chemical Brothers remain impetuous, anxious and creative.
Last January they announced that they were returning to the studio to record their new album, expected to be released this year, songs of which the band will play in Athens.
