The 1st International Conference of the Association of Greek-Australian Lawyers and Judges will take place on the Aegean island of Rhodes from July 9-12, on the topic “Modern Legal Issues and the Effect of Hellenism”. The President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos will declare the start of the conference.
The conference will be attended by 300 lawyers and judges from Australia, New Zealand and Cyprus, Australian Chief Justice Susan Kiefel, as well as a number of eminent judges and academics.
The Australian Ambassador to Greece, Kate Logan, will speak on “The Enduring Australian and Greek Bilateral Relationship”.
Several Chief Justices and Judges of Appeal, along with other international jurists, will speak on a number of different topics, related to the Conference theme of “Contemporary Legal Issues and the Influence of Hellenism”.
