An evening dedicated to the music of the ancient Greek lyre, combined with the sounds of traditional and modern instruments, will take place at the old observatory in central Athens on Thursday evening, on the Nymphs Hill near the Acropolis, according to ANA.
The programme will follow the “musical journey” from the music of the ancient Greeks, through traditional music and contemporary music, performed by Aliki Markantonatou (ancient lyre, vocals), Vasiliki Papageorgiou (mandolin, percussion, vocals) and Chrysostomos Boukalis (double bass).
