A new festival that focuses on equality and inclusion in culture and the arts, is held on Wednesday 1 and Thursday, August 2, at the Kinitiras dance school in Athens. The All Souls Festival aims to create a safe and non-judgmental environment that will guarantee equality and inclusion in the arts. It offers an opportunity to those with or without disabilities to freely express themselves, expose their art, and create strong and qualitative interdisciplinary communities.
The festival, along with a carefully selected venue that satisfies all accessibility requirements, will welcome all kinds of artists and connect them to an audience that cares for art, community action, and social justice. This year’s artists are: Dagipoli Dance Company, Exis Dance Company, Irene Kourovanani, Vivi Christodoulopoulou, Labyrinthe of Senses, Angie Mitropoulou, Stella Spyrou.
The All Souls Festival program includes:
- Three dance and theater performances by different artists who prove the limitless opportunities and possibilities of disability in the performing arts.
- Three seminars for teenagers and adults focusing on the creative process, the therapeutic aspects of performing arts and familiarity with disability.
