Acclaimed Greek-Russian film director Costa Gavras was presented with the European Film Academy’s Honorary Award of the EFA President and Board in tribute to his long and illustrious career at the European Film Awards ceremony in Seville, ANA reports.
The EFA Eurimages Co-Production Award for producers promoting joint productions in Europe was also presented to Greek producers Konstantinos Kontovrakis and Giorgos Karnavas from Heretic.
It was presented by the lead actress in the film “Sumendia” – a Heretic joint production that was filmed on the Greek island of Nisyros.
