EC opens career conference at Athens Concert Hall on Tuesday

The different ways of developing and funding a business idea, as well as the various tools that can help job-seekers are the main topics that will be discussed during a two-day conference to be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Athens Concert Hall under the Greek delegation of the European Commission, chief of delegation George Markopouliotis told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

The goal of the initiative, Markopouliotis said, “is to release the power of the Greek workforce and give young people the tools to implement their ideas, even if they are not successful at first; to   give them the tools they need to find work: how to write their CV, how to handle an interview, how to discover the opportunities the EU offers for working in other countries.”

At the conference, which will be held on January 29 and 30, successful start-uppers, policy-makers, academics and consultants will address the above issues, Markopouliotis told ANA, and announced that the vice president of the European Commission responsible for issues of Employment, Development, Investments and Competitiveness Jyrki Katainen will be inaugurating the event with an open dialogue on topics such as the future of Europe, job creation and finding efficient ways of attracting investors.
