The International Festival of Contemporary Dance ‘Arc for Dance Festival’ (ARCFEST11) is entering the second decade of its existence on Saturday, with its 11th edition featuring a series of events and dance performances spanning the period from May 4 until May 26, all with free admission, ANA reports.
The main core of the festival will be held at the Kivotos Theatre on May 23-26, with eight modern dance performances that include five international premieres, presented in Athens for the first time.
On the following weekend there are presentations of the original dance work “Origami” that in Zappion and Elefsina (Arc_hood) while Arc_loop (May 18-19 and May 23-25) explores the new trends in ‘vertical dance’ where the dancers are suspending in mid-air.
