Athens Acropolis Museum offers free concert under full moon on August 15

Athens Acropolis Museum will offer a free concert with popular songs to visitors under the full moon at 9.00 p.m. on August 15.

New singers will perform from the repertory of well-known Greek composers and singers, while the museum itself will stay open from 8.00 a.m. to midnight (free entrance from 8.00 p.m. to closing). Featured in the museum currently is a photography exhibition of marble craftsmen who have worked on the Acropolis.

Furthermore, open for the extended hours will be the ground-floor cafe and the second-floor restaurant in the museum. Reservations may be made at (+30) 210 9000915.

The walk-around excavation will be open as well, with tours in English and Greek. Reservations need to be made in person at the Museum Information Desk. The English-language tours will be offered at 12.00 noon and 5.00 p.m., and the Greek-language ones at 1.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. Each tour lasts 45 minutes, while there is a maximum of 20 people per tour. 

The tours are free and included with the purchase of an entrance ticket to the museum (10 euros).
