Canada’s largest street festival, ”Taste of the Danforth,” will take place for the 26th consecutive year in the Greektown area of Toronto, from August 9 until August 11, according to greekreporter.com.
The festival is an extremely popular one in Canada’s largest city, and nearly 1.6 million people are expected to visit the city’s Greektown neighborhood during the three days of the event.
The main core of the festival is to mark Greek food, music and culture, but its events have also been expanded to a series of different cultural happenings which will also be of interest to festival-goers.
The Taste of the Danforth festival also celebrates the rich and diverse society of Toronto, which is comprised of a wide range of different ethnicities and cultures.
More than one mile of Danforth Avenue will be blocked off during the festivities so that people can dance and enjoy all the other events, while this year’s celebrations are expected to be even more spectacular than ever before.
