More than 60,000 people are expected to pack the iconic Panathenaic (Kallimarmaro) Stadium on Monday 9th September, for an outdoor charity concert under the moonlight, ‘Oloi Mazi Boroume’ (All Together we Can), greekcitytimes.com reports.
‘Oloi Mazi Boroume’ campaign was launched by Skai TV in 2010 in response to the country’s financial crisis, to assist vulnerable social groups.
Dozens of A-list Greek singers and musicians including Konstantinos Argiros, Melina Aslanidou, Stelios Dionisiou, Natasa Theodoridou, Paola, Antonis Remos, Stelios Rokkos, Giannis Ploutarchos, Despina Vandi, Glykeria and many more will perform.
This years concert pays tribute to 72-year-old Greek composer and bouzouki virtuoso, Christos Nikolopoulos.
Tickets for the outdoor charity concert cost 6-12 euros.
Concertgoers are also encouraged to bring food donations, which have and will continue to be distributed through the soup kitchens of the Church of Greece, feeding 250,000 people on a daily basis.
