Greek Ministers taking part in Tallinn Digital Summit 2019

Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Deputy Minister for Digital Strategy Grigoris Zarifopoulos arrived in Estonia on Monday to participate in the Tallinn Digital Summit 2019, according to ANA.

Pierrakakis said that “our participation in the Summit has parallel targets. We believe we must secure a place for our country at the digitalization processes “table” and to promote domestic business success stories in the field of technology. The event also provides an opportunity to meet with our counterparts and have targeted meetings, get close to innovators in technology and learn from the experience of advanced countries. In this way, we will be able to take advantage of the best practices that would lead us to digital transformation”.

The Greek delegation is taking part at the invitation of the Estonian government in the context of close cooperation that has been developed on issues of digital governance and policy. It includes Markos Veremis, founder and representative of many successful startups, Aristos Doxiadis, a partner at venture capital fund Big Pi, the CEO of the Beat Rideshare app Nikos Drandakis, business advisor in the area of informatics Andreas Drymiotis and Giorgos Giralis, a partner in Marathon VC.
