Greece will be foremost among the countries honored at the China International Import Expo 2019 (CIIE), held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, ANA reports.
A statement by Enterprise Greece, the nation’s official export-promotion agency, noted that Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will provide a tour of the Greek pavilion to Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Greece’s motto at the fair will be “A culture to share.”
The Greek exporting focus will be in the area of food and beverages, with 26 businesses in this sector represented, with wine tastings to take place as part of the exposition.
The CIIE will include a forum and B2B meetings between 60 Greek companies and more than 200 Chinese businesspeople. Other Greek sectors to be represented include energy, tourism, shipping, construction, pharmaceuticals and agrofoods, among others.
