Maria Callas’ childhood years are revisited in the new children’s play by Irene Iakovou and Thomas Karachalios, is presented at Mikro Pallas theater, every Sunday at 11:30, int.ert.gr reports.
Titled “Maria before Callas. Her childhood years”, introduces the legendary Greek diva in a charming and touching way, like a well-crafted classic fairy tale. Maria Callas shook the world with her golden voice in the 20th century and stayed in history as an unparalleled example of talent, perseverance, and discipline.
The thrill is indescribable as we follow Maria Callas in her first steps. As a child, she experienced rejection because of her appearance, even by her own mother. However, it was her mother who recognized her daughter’s incredible talent and helped her succeed. Her music teacher was to be her guiding force in her life who warmed her soul and supported her in her life. With her will, hard work, perseverance, love, and passion for singing, Callas managed to attain her goal: become the golden voice of the century.
