Large mural of Santorini island brings taste of Greece to New Zealand

A new shop importing and selling authentic Greek products in New Zealand is capturing the attention of the locals with its huge painting of Santorini decorating its walls, according to greekreporter.com.

The “Little Greece” at Browns Bay, north of Auckland, has prepared in style for its grand opening on Saturday and Sunday the 14th and 15th of December.

It has asked local artist Angela Johnson to bring a taste of Greece. The artist, who has been painting on site, in front of the public, has created a big external mural of Santorini.

She also created a huge 7-meter long Bougainvillea plant on an interior wall.

Locals have apparently fallen in love with the artwork and are flocking in to the shop to try some of its delicious products and enjoy a small taste of Greece.
