Greek mezzo-soprano Betty Harlafti, who is known as “the voice of Mikis Theodorakis from the younger generation of performers,” will take the stage in Munich, Germany on Saturday 1st February 2020 for a great cause, performing a special recital dedicated to children who are making their own fight against cancer, greekcitytimes.com reports.
Betty Harlafti is a Greek contemporary singer, a classically trained mezzo-soprano who performs a diverse, crossover repertoire in several languages.
Accompanying her on stage is the distinguished pianist and close associate of Mikis Theodorakis, Yannis Belonis
The concert is a part of a series of performances by Betty Harlafti abroad, all of them of special meaning, such as the 3 sold out concerts in Brussels, where she performed the magnificent Canto General by Neruda-Theodorakis, invited to commemorate the 70th Anniversary from the Declaration of Human Rights, the celebration concert of Greece’s National Day on March 25, 2019 at the Ankara Concert Hall, the 95th birthday celebration of the famous Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis in Cologne, Germany etc.
