Celia Costea, Giorgio Berrugi and Tassis Christoyannis singing at Herodion in Athens

The Greek National Opera will present the second of two Opera Galas at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus (Irodio) on Tuesday, with performances by internationally acclaimed opera stars, ANA reports.

Singing on Tuesday will be Celia Costea, Giorgio Berrugi and Tassis Christoyannis, who will perform famous arias and duets from operas by Verdi (Luisa Miller, Il trovatore, Ernani, Un ballo in Mascherα, La traviata), Ponchielli (La Gioconda),  Leoncavallo (Pagliacci) and Puccini (Tosca), as well as popular Introductions and orchestral excerpts. 

Morandi will also be conducting Sunday’s (July 26) Opera Gala, with Krassimira Stoyanova, Riccardo Massi and Dimitri Platanias.
