Made out of ice, an impressive life-size replica of the ancient Odeon of Herodes Atticus theatre is on display at the 37th Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in China, greekcitytimes.com reports.
The festival in Harbin, a city in China’s northeast Heilongjiang province, is one of the largest of its kind.
The event includes an ice snow sculpture expo and competitions, skiing, ice hockey, ice football, sledding, winter swimming, speed skating, as well as many other activities.
This is the first time a Greek monument has been constructed as part of the festival. The initiative was undertaken by the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) office in China.
