The Development and Tourism Promotion Company of the Municipality of Athens (EATA) and the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) support Athens’ candidacy at this year’s 28th World Travel Awards, ANA reports.
The Greek capital is claiming the title of the top European City Break destination among 15 cities, including London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Paris, Rome, and Berlin.

The “Tourism Oscars”, as these awards are often referred to, record over 2,000,000 electronic votes each year, with the number constantly increasing by participants, who thus express their confidence in the international travel and tourism industry.
