Australian Ambassador lays wrath on Remembrance Day at Athens cemetery

Australian Ambassador Arthur Spyrou laid a wreath on Remembrance Day at Phaleron cemetery, Athens, greekcitytimes.com reports.

On Twitter, he noted: Honoured to lay a wreath at the Remembrance Day service held by the French Embassy at the Commonwealth War Graves in Phaleron cemetery.”

“Remembering the sacrifice of the Allied soldiers in World War I and paying tribute to the more than 102,000 Australians who have died serving our nation,” he continued.

Remembrance Day remembers and honors those who lost their lives in World War 1 and following conflicts.
