Hudson Odysseus AHEPA Chapter 545 welcomes District 6 governor in New York

Hudson Odysseus AHEPA Chapter 545 had the honor of hosting District 6 Governor Dean Moskos in Middletown, NY on April 3. Brother Moskos began his visit by attending the Divine Liturgy at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Middletown. After the liturgy, the Holy Cross Greek School presented a program of poetry readings honoring Greek Independence. A Lenten lunch was also offered as a school fundraiser.

The AHEPA chapter focuses much of its own fundraising efforts on assisting the school through a scholarship program to help families send their children to the Greek School. At the conclusion of the program, the chapter conducted its regular meeting. A Greek Festival was discussed as a Spring fundraising activity. The securing of a charter bus to attend the Greek Independence Day Parade in New York City on June 5 was also planned. Brother Moskos also updated chapter members regarding District 6 events and answered many questions regarding AHEPA Global Headquarters activities. It was an excellent day of sharing ideas and planning additional cultural events which foster Ahepan and Hellenic values.
