Greek Prime Minister addresses EPP annual meeting held in Crete

Greek Prime Minister and New Democracy (ND) party President Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the annual meeting of the European People’s Party (EPP) Group in the European Parliament, held at Chersonissos near the city of Heraklion, on Tuesday, ANA reports.

The Greek Premier said that ND, which is in government since 2019, “is exhibiting unprecedented political endurance because we managed all the crises effectively and consistently with our election campaign commitments. We reduced taxes, and strengthened [national] defense and social cohesion,” he stressed.

Mitsotakis also said his government created growth and jobs for all Greeks, adding that “Greece is no longer the black sheep in the European family,” stressing dropping unemployment rates and foreign investments, as well as reforms implemented in education and in health.
