The Greek public was expecting them two years ago, but the pandemic canceled their arrival twice. But this time it is certain. The legendary rock band Deep Purple will be in Athens this summer in order to give a big concert on July 7 at Terra Vibe, in Malakasa, as part of this year’s Rockwave Festival, en.protothema.gr reports.
The history of Deep Purple spans more than 50 years. It begins in 1968 when, in Hertford, Great Britain, a group of musicians appeared that would soon be called Deep Purple and would quickly join the Heretical Holy Trinity of British hard rock/heavy metal, along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.
Pre-sale of tickets starts on Wednesday, November 9.
