Korean embassy in Athens commemorates outbreak and armistice deal of Korean War

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea held an event in the northern suburb of Papagos-Holargos recently to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Armistice agreement of the Korean War, ANA reports.

The ceremony included an honor guard inspection, a benediction by a Greek Orthodox priest, an address, the laying of a wreath, a moment of silence, and the national anthems of both countries. A group photo was also taken. (The event was followed at a later date by a joint Greek-Korean concert for Korean War veterans and their families at the Korean embassy.)
