US embassy and consular sections in Athens closed on Tuesday for Independence Day

The United States embassy in Athens and its consular section, the US consulate General in Thessaloniki, and all US government offices in Greece will be closed on Tuesday, in observance of Independence Day, ANA reports.

Independence Day is a federal holiday commemorating the Declaration of Independence, which was ratified on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
