The 9th Kastellorizo Beyond Borders International Documentary Festival opened its gates on Monday and will last until September 1, ANA reports.
The promising Co-Producers Forum, the Audiovisual Pitching Lab, the film workshop Beyond Storytelling and the Critics’ Corner, the Film School Network, also began, with students involved in a series of festival activities, such as book launches, exhibitions, shadow theatre, workshops on cinema, dance, and music for children and more.
Welcoming people to the festival, the artistic director, Irini Sarioglou, explained that the reason why Kastellorizo has been chosen as the venue for the festival is that it brings together the characteristics of Greek culture, soul, and lifestyle. it is an island that cares about the community and the welfare of everyone.
