The promotion program of the Region of Epirus is in full swing, with its presence in major tourist exhibitions being the forefront of its actions for this year. Specifically, the International Exhibitions that Epirus will participate in this year are as follows:

2. Tourism Exhibition “TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS” in Nicosia (25-27 April), at the GNTO stand
3. IFTM-TOP RESA Exhibition in Paris (23-25 September), at the GNTO stand
4. Alternative Tourism Exhibition TOUR NATUR CARAVAN SALON in Düsseldorf (29 August-7 September),
5. TTG TRAVEL EXPERIENCE Exhibition in Rimini, Italy (8-10 October) at the GNTO stand
6. W.T.M. Exhibition in London (4-6 November) at the GNTO stand
7. Philoxenia Exhibition in Thessaloniki (14-16 November).
8. ITTF Exhibition in Warsaw (20-22 November).
How are arrivals and average spending evolving
It is recalled that according to INSETE data, Epirus in the two years 2022-2023 recorded an increase in visitor arrivals of 58%, and from the 1.1 million in 2022, they reached 1.7 million. arrivals in 2023. Regarding the markets that visited the region, Albania leads the way with a 12% increase from 196 thousand visitors in 2022 to 219 thousand in 2023. This is followed by visitors from Germany (from 50 thousand in 2022 to 80 thousand in 20230), the United Kingdom (from 52 thousand in 2022 to 76 thousand in 2023) and Italy (from 45 thousand in 2022 to 57 thousand in 2023).
A major thorn in the side of the Region remains the expenditure per visitor in the period 2019-2023, as it decreased by 24% (from 253 euros in 2019 to 193 euros in 2023) and in the period 2022-2023 by 20%.
