Great Britain | Greece and the Greek National Tourist Office at Kuoni Road Show

With the aim of promoting Greece in the British market as an ideal destination for family holidays and luxury holidays, the Greek National Tourist Office UK & Ireland participated in a one-day event/roadshow for Greece organized by the Kuoni Travel Agency of the Der Tour Group. The event was held at the Kuoni headquarters and headquarters in Dorking, Surrey, UK. Vasiliou, on April 9, 2025.

The event presented the comparative advantages of Greece as an ideal destination for family holidays and informed Kuoni agents and sales executives about developments in the destinations: Athens, Alonissos, Corfu, Kos, Crete, Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos, Skopelos, Halkidiki.

The initiative of the event was welcomed by the Head of the Greek National Tourist Office UK & Ireland, Ms. Eleni Skarveli, who had a private meeting with the General Manager of Kuoni UK, Mr. Mark Duguid. The topic of the meeting was the increase in Greek options in Kuoni packages for the next season, as well as the diversification and upgrading of the tourist products offered, given that Greece is in 5th place in total T/O sales and in first place for family summer holidays.

The event was a great success, as it brought together 55 specialized agents, representing 48 stores, 15 “implant” offices in John Lewis department stores, as well as Kuoni call center executives, thus multiplying the penetration of the Greek tourist product throughout the United Kingdom. Their particular interest was expressed with targeted questions about Greek destinations and the willingness to enrich their knowledge about Greece.

The event was accompanied by representatives of the Greek hotel companies Daios Cove, Domes, Grecotel, Sani/Ikos, and Santikos Collection, who presented a total of 85 Greek hotels from across the country.
