From October 3 to 5, the Tsagarada Escape Festival 2025 is scheduled to take place in Tsagarada, an event that has now become an institution for Pelion and Magnesia. The festival, co-organized by the Region of Thessaly, the Regional Units of Magnesia and Sporades and the Tourism and Development Association of Tsagarada, aspires to attract visitors from all over Greece and abroad.
It is a three-day event dedicated to outdoor activities, both in the mountains and at sea. Participants will have the opportunity to try climbing, canyoning, archery, horseback riding and an 80-meter aerial route (flying fox), with particular emphasis on hiking and highlighting the traditional paths of the village. At the same time, thematic cultural and entertainment events will be held, such as presentations on hiking tourism, musical evenings and parties. All activities will be offered free of charge to the public.
The event, which is taking place for the ninth year this year, aims not only to develop alternative tourism but also to raise environmental awareness, as well as to save and promote the cultural heritage of Tsagarada. Equally important is the dimension of volunteerism, with the participation of groups such as the rescue organization EPIZO and the Tsagarada Volunteer Group, outdoor activities companies such as ShaKayak and Hike Away, as well as the Local Community and the Municipality of Zagora – Mouresi.
The success of previous events, which brought together visitors from all over Greece and abroad, has already made the Tsagarada Escape Festival a strong institution for Pelion. Combining natural beauty, action, culture and community participation, the festival showcases Tsagarada as an ideal destination for alternative experiences throughout the year.
The festival highlights the authentic hospitality of Tsagarada, inviting visitors to live unique experiences in nature, discover local flavors and enjoy moments of relaxation.
