From October 1st to 5th, Ermoupolis transforms into a meeting place for science, art and spiritual regeneration, hosting the Syros Healing Waves Festival.
The main guest is the leading Harvard psychiatrist, Bessel van der Kolk, author of the international bestseller The Body Keeps the Score, flanked by Licia Sky and Benjamin Fry. The program includes scientific lectures, experiential workshops, yoga with a view of the Aegean, psychodrama, Afro Yoga and activities open to the public with topics ranging from mental resilience to intergenerational trauma.
At the same time, art plays a leading role: an art exhibition at the Industrial Museum, a Cavafy musical concert at the Apollon Theater and, as a climax, the world premiere of the work Healing Waves by the international composer Zbigniew Preisner. The festival concludes with a feast at the historic Tarsanas, connecting culture with local tradition.
