A three-day event with high scientific and social content was held in the city of Sitia on the occasion of the International Clinical Cardiology Conference, CardioKreta2025, which took place on 17-18-19 October at the Polykentro amphitheater of the Municipality of Sitia.
With the initiative of the President of the Medical School of the University of Crete, Mr. George Kochiadakis, in collaboration with the Cyprus Society of Cardiology, the contribution of the President of the Crete Tourist Agents, Mr. Michalis Vlatakis, and the decisive support of the Municipality of Sitia, an important scientific event now chooses the city of Sitia as its permanent base.
A leading scientific meeting that brought modern cardiology, prevention and innovation in the health sector to the forefront, in which more than a hundred distinguished scientists from Greece and abroad participated, presenting the latest developments in cardiology research, new therapeutic methods and the use of technology in cardiology practice.
The successful organization of such a conference in Sitia proves that even in areas far from large urban centers, high-level conferences can be held, with a substantial impact on society.
The Mayor of Sitia, Mr. Giorgos Zervakis, expressed his thanks to the organizers, expressing the intention of the present Municipal Authority to support such collaborations so that CardioKreta2025 will be the beginning of a new development opportunity for Sitia, highlighting it as an ideal place for conference tourism.
Hosting the International Clinical Cardiology Congress, CardioKreta2025 in Sitia was a multifaceted event, which goes beyond the narrow limits of a scientific conference.
