Greece and the Greek National Tourism Organization won top honors during the 11th annual American tourism awards Travvy Awards 2025. Specifically:
Greece was named the best cruise destination in Europe, winning the Gold Award. Italy received the Silver and Croatia the Bronze.
Our country was also voted the second best destination in Europe, with Italy emerging first and Croatia third. In the Mediterranean, Greece won the Gold Award as the best destination.
The Greek National Tourism Organization, finally, won the Bronze Award for the best Tourism Organizations in Europe. The Swiss National Tourism Organization was named the first national tourism organization in the old continent, and the Irish National Tourism Organization was named second.
The awards were received by Konstantinos Harokopos, Head of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization Office in America, and Faye Georgousi, from the local staff of the Hellenic National Tourism Organization.

The annual Travvy Awards 2025, one of the most important awards institutions in the global travel industry, was held on Thursday, November 6 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Center in Florida, honoring the companies, destinations and professionals who stood out for their excellence and innovation in tourism.
The Travvy Awards, also known as the “Oscars” of the travel industry, are organized by TravelPulse, a member of the Northstar Travel Group, and were held as part of CruiseWorld, another major event of the group dedicated to the cruise and business travel sector.
This year, thousands of votes from travel advisors from around the world revealed the winners in dozens of categories — from suppliers and travel products to travel agencies and tourist destinations. Industry professionals came together to celebrate the successes of their colleagues and recognize the companies that are shaping the future of travel.
The award ceremony was held during a formal dinner, in the presence of tourism market executives, administrative representatives, partners and travel press journalists. The winners were honored for their contributions to enhancing the traveler experience, adopting sustainable practices, technological innovation, and offering high-quality services.
