People on Greece’s island of Skiathos were amazed, for yet another year, by seeing the massive, ultra-luxurious ”Al Mirqab” yacht arrive on their island in the northern Sporades on Monday, according to greekreporter.com.
Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, the former prime minister and foreign minister of Qatar, is the owner of this vessel, and this was by no means the first time he had visited the picturesque Greek island of Skiathos.
Earlier this summer, he was spotted in Nafplio and Corfu as well, as part of his summertime tour of the Greek isles.
The eminent Qatari man was seen going for a walk and dining at a local taverna on Skiathos.
Al Thani loves the Northern Sporades island and visits it nearly every summer, as he enjoys his annual tours of the Ionian and Aegean Seas off Greece.
With its construction concluded eleven years ago, the “Al Mirqab” is one of the largest motor yachts in the world. It has a series of lavish amenities, and up to 55 crew members can be on board when the yacht hosts guests.
The luxurious yacht is one of the most expensive in the world. It is 133 meters long and has a swimming pool, 10 visitors’ suites and two VIP suites for the sheik, as well as a heliport, gym, jacuzzi, and cinema.
While its owner is not using her, the beautiful, navy blue and white yacht is docked in its berth at a marina in Athens’ coastal suburb of Faliro.
