A new 5-star hotel, aiming to redefine the concept of lifestyle tourism in Elounda, Crete, is set to open in 2026. The INNSiDE Elounda, owned and managed by Zeus Hotels, will join the international portfolio of Meliá Hotels International. The hotel is scheduled to officially open on May 1, 2026, marking the debut of the INNSiDE by Meliá brand in the Greek islands.
Its arrival further enhances the tourism profile of Elounda—a destination renowned for high-level hospitality, luxury resorts, and rich cultural heritage. The new hotel is expected to offer a more modern, “vibrant” option, emphasizing relaxation, creativity, and value for money.
What INNSiDE Elounda will be like
Situated in a prime location on a hill with panoramic views of Elounda Bay, the INNSiDE is just five minutes from the coastal village of Elounda and ten minutes from the picturesque fishing village of Plaka. Heraklion Airport is approximately one hour away, making the resort an ideal base for vacations as well as events of all kinds—from weddings to corporate retreats.
The hotel will feature 86 spacious rooms and suites, 70% of which offer uninterrupted sea views, and 18 units with private pools, catering to travelers seeking comfort, personality, and connection with nature. Options range from elegant, contemporary rooms to impressive accommodations such as The Loft and The Beach House, which includes two bedrooms, a private pool, and unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea.
The resort incorporates creative lifestyle elements—from in-room yoga mats to curated book collections—while embracing sustainability practices, supporting local producers and suppliers.
Gastronomy with Cretan identity
Gastronomy will play a central role in the resort’s identity. INNSiDE Elounda will offer two a la carte restaurants, including Calydon, curated by the renowned Greek chef Lefteris Soultatos, who hails from Crete and has international experience in European and American kitchens. The menu will combine classic Greek dishes with Mediterranean touches, complemented by selected local wines.
Additionally, the retro lobby bar and pool bar will provide relaxing spaces with cocktails and unobstructed sunset views.
