Detailed information on the funding opportunities offered by the Microfinance Support Center of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, as well as the application process for microloans through this new service, will take place on Monday, 1/12 at 19:00 at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce.
At the special event titled “Microfinancing as a Modern Financial Tool: Utilizing the TEPIX III Microcredit Fund,” Ms. Marilena Bouzoura, CEO of TMFS, and Prof. Charalampos Ankyropoulos, Member of the Board of Directors of TMFS, will present all the new financial tools available, mainly for very small businesses, and will provide clarifications on the process of accessing them.
The inauguration of the Microfinance Support Center will precede the event, in the presence of TMEDE President Mr. Konstantinos Makedos.
The Microfinance Support Center, one of the most important new services of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce for its members, aims to cover the funding gap for small and very small businesses that do not meet banking criteria, as well as to provide comprehensive support for microloans up to 25,000 euros managed by the Hellenic Development Bank (HDB).
“Our goal is to ensure that every small and very small business has access to the financial tools it needs to move forward and grow. The Heraklion Chamber of Commerce now has two new institutional partners with credibility and expertise and can serve the businesses of Crete quickly and effectively,” emphasizes the President of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Vangelis Karkanakis, encouraging entrepreneurs to take advantage of the new opportunities.
The Microfinance Support Center will operate in a dedicated space at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce in exclusive collaboration with TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, the first institutional microfinance entity licensed by the Bank of Greece. The Heraklion Chamber of Commerce will fully handle the submission of applications on behalf of its members, based on authorization, and will manage all stages for completing the process: KYC, ESG Tracker, OPSKE, and the TMEDE platform provided to them.
