South Aegean Region commissioned the winter promotion of Santorini to Publicitas S.A. company on international websites in order to extend the tourist season. The following advertising activities will be combined in the same period:
Web advertising campaign in international tourist sites such as booking.com, tripadvisor.com, opodo.com. kayak.com, Geo.fr, hotels.com, lonelyplanet.com, expedia.com etc. The campaign will be displayed simultaneously in more than 200 travel websites, among major European countries like Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, England, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway e.a.
All of the above websites will display Santorini Municipality ads with banners of different dimensions and videos and target specific age groups, such as young people aged 25-44 who are interested in travelling.

At the same time, another campaign would unfold along all of National Geographic.com sections throughout Europe utilizing promotional banners and videos.
Santorini will also sponsor for 2 weeks “Greece, Travel Guide” on National Geographic.com with logo and banners display. The advertising campaign will last three weeks and is expected to generate a total 2,485 million impressions. The campaign will be implemented by programmatic buying i.e. automatic programming to ensure advertising presence in the largest possible number of travel websites, at reduced cost.
It will exploit the environment of an international website such as National Geographic.com known for its validity and efficiency in promoting issues on culture, special destinations, environment, science e.a.
The total cost of the campaign amounts to 24,600 euros including VAT.
