U.S. News & World Report announced the results of a new study that revealed how 18-to-35-year-olds—otherwise known as Millennials—view countries on a global scale.
According to the official website of U.S. News’ Best Countries platform, the study revealed that Canada is the top nation in the world overall according to Millennials, followed by Germany as the second best and the United Kingdom rounding out the top three.
The survey consisted of thousands of Millennials scoring countries around the world on a wide range of criteria, including dating culture and career development. According to the results, Australia was voted the top country to live in, and Canada and Italy rounded out the top three, respectively.
As for career opportunities, China was voted the best country to start a career in and Thailand finished in the No. 1 spot for countries with the most economic potential. In terms of dating, Brazil finished at the top of the list.
“Millennials will play a significant role in shaping national economies worldwide for decades to come,” U.S. News editor Brian Kelly said in a statement. “Capturing their perceptions is valuable in helping to determine the current and future possibilities of economic, political and cultural success in nations.”
