Global Traveler, the only monthly magazine for business and leisure luxury travelers, announces the winners of its fourth annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards. The winners will be feted at a cocktail reception tonight, May 19, 2016, on the rooftop of Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Global Traveler’s elite Globility Board and the highly experienced magazine staff made nominations in each category. Global Traveler’s Globility Board consists of well-traveled subscribers who act as a direct link between the magazine and our readers.
From these nominations, Global Traveler’s esteemed Advisory Board selected the final winners. The Advisory Board is comprised of well-traveled executives across a broad range of industries.
The awards are announced in Global Traveler’s fourth annual Leisure Lifestyle Edition, available now. The issue also includes articles on heritage travel, airline vacation companies, hotel collections, LGBT tours and solo travel.
For the third year, Global Traveler named Special Achievement Awards. For their Hello Kitty-themed airplanes, EVA Air was recognized for Outstanding Customized Service. Airbus’ eco-efficiency and environmentally friendly strides earned them the Outstanding Environmental Initiatives recognition. The Outstanding Innovations honor went to Royal Caribbean International’s unique Robotic Bartender. Air Canada received the Outstanding Social Awareness accolade for the 2012 creation of its Air Canada Foundation.
