Summer is definitely on its way as temperatures are set to reach 30 degrees Celsius today in Athens, Kalamata, Sparti, Patra and other areas of Greece, greekcitytimes.com reports.
With only 10 days to go until it officially becomes Summer in Greece for 2018, the sunshine is making an impressive appearance this week and with tourists already making their way around Greece’s mainland and islands, beaches around the country are expected to see quite a few visitors today and throughout the week.
Meteorologists are predicting the weather to stay in the high 20’s to early 30’s all week and well in to next week, which means the water will start warming up just in time for the official Summer season opening.
