Milos and Paros are in the first two choices of the internationally renowned travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller in the suggestions for visiting in 2025. The choice was made, as reported, by the magazine’s well-traveled team, which reflects in the most valid way the significant impact that the two Cycladic islands have acquired in the global tourist scene.
It is noted that Hydra is in third place, followed by Sifnos, Santorini, Syros, Folegandros, Crete, Corfu, Naxos, Kefalonia, Andros, Serifos, Mykonos, Zakynthos, Amorgos, Paxos, Lefkada, Ithaca, Tinos, Patmos, Rhodes, Symi, Astypalaia, and Skiathos.
2024 was another year in which the Greek islands were at the top of the preferences of Greek and foreign tourists.
Based on an announcement by the Ferryscanner platform, which analyzed the platform’s data for the top choices for both Greek and foreign visitors, as well as the ferry companies they preferred the most, Mykonos was the most popular destination for 2024, with 42,881 reservations. Paros followed with 41,164 bookings and Santorini with 35,092.
Looking separately at the destinations preferred by Greek travelers, Mykonos was at the top of their choices, followed by Heraklion, Tinos, Paros, and Aegina. On the other hand, foreign visitors showed a greater preference for Paros, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, and Santorini, confirming the enduring appeal of the Cyclades to the international travel public.
