The Regional Union of Municipalities of the South Aegean approved the creation of promotional videos to highlight the tourism product, enhance the awareness and tourist appeal of 10 selected small Greek islands of the Cyclades and the Dodecanese, at a cost of 37,000 euros.
This is the first cycle of a strategic audiovisual promotion initiative for less prominent islands with an emphasis on thematic, soft and sustainable tourism, while two more will follow in the next two years, with the aim of covering all the small and medium-sized islands of the Regional Union.
The first 10 islands to be featured in the videos are Astypalaia, Kasos, Karpathos, Kastellorizo, Donoussa, Amorgos, Ano Koufonisia, Kato Koufonisia, Schinoussa and Iraklia.
The videos will function as a multidimensional promotional tool, approaching in a modern way the modern traveler who is looking for:
authenticity, contact with nature
cultural experiences
discreet tourism away from the mass character.
The material will result from quality filming (4K, drone, emotional script), will be shown in Greek and English, and will be presented on all modern digital channels (YouTube, social media, digital platforms of Municipalities and Regions, tourist exhibitions, etc.).
