Civil Aviation Authority: Passenger traffic + 10.2% at Greek airports

Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority announced that 47,2 million passengers were transported through Greek airports during the first eleven months of 2015, an increase of 10.2% compared to the same period in 2014 (42,8 million passengers).

In the same period, the total number of flights at Greek airports reached 416,931 (of which 170,970 domestic and 245,961 foreign) showing an increase of 5.3% (+ 7.3% on domestic flights and 4% on international flights) compared to 395,760 flights during the respective 2014 period.

In November 2015, Greek airports handled 1.98 million passengers, an increase of 13.7%. Domestic arrivals increased by 20.8% and foreign arrivals by 8.9%. Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Chania and Rhodes airports saw the highest air traffic in November as follows:
