Gastronomy Tourism: Wine Roads in Rhodes, Kos, Patmos, Leros and Lipsoi

The Dodecanese Development & Progress Company (D.ET.A.P.) became a partner in the “Integrated actions for the development of gastronomic tourism by showcasing local food delivery, utilization of local products and promoting local cuisine in the Dodecanese and Cyprus” project in Gastronomy Net acronym, which was adopted at the 3rd call of the CBC GREECE-CYPRUS 2007-2013 program.

One of the project’s main goals is the promotion of local culinary traditions and quality agricultural products of the two areas within the context of tourist development.

As part of this promotion, D.ET.A.P. undertook the creation and printing of a guide map with the roads of wine in the Dodecanese including Rhodes, Kos, Leros, Patmos and Lipsi.

Exceptional tour

The “Wine Roads” map was created to provide information on an exceptional tour along the centuries-old wine tradition of the Dodecanese islands.

In addition to the map, the guide includes photos of the region and relevant descriptive text in two languages (Greek and English), as well useful tips for the visitor.

The project was co-funded by European Research and Development Fund (80%) and the two countries’ national budgets (20%).
