The 16th Airline Marketing Workshop, a meeting organised by Athens International Airport annually, was once more held in March and focused on the company’s airline marketing support programmes, its highly creative and awarded campaign “Tailor Made Airline Marketing” and an overview of the first fifteen years of the airport. The workshop again served as an ideal platform for a substantial dialogue among the airport and its key partners on a wide agenda of topics. 250 guests attended presentations of key speakers including a year 2015 review, AIA’s Destination Marketing initiatives for Athens, liberalisation and profits for the airline industry, travel loyalty schemes and the enhancement of passenger experience at the airport.
Athens International Airport again granted its annual awards to the airlines that achieved the fastest development and the highest increase in passenger volumes in their scheduled services during 2015. In addition, this year’s Airline Marketing Workshop offered a special highlight moment, when airport employees presented for the first time on stage their new terminal outfits, created by internationally acclaimed Greek designer, Sophia Kokosalaki.
