Ryanair said July was a record month for traffic on the airline as passenger numbers grew by 12 per cent to 11.3 million while its load factor rose to 96 per cent from 95 per cent.
The airline said it became the first in the world to carry more than 11 million international passengers in a month, despite air traffic controller strikes in France and post-Brexit market uncertainty.
Ryanair said rolling annual traffic grew by 16 per cent to 110.7 customers in the 12 months to July.
